Refund policy

At The Form Edit, we want you to feel confident in your purchase. Each piece is carefully considered, and we hope you love your order.

This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases made through www.theformedit.co.nz.

Change-of-mind returns

We accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is:

  • unworn
  • unused
  • unwashed
  • in original condition
  • with all tags and packaging attached
  • free from marks, makeup, fake tan, perfume, deodorant, pet hair or odours

Items that do not meet these conditions may not be accepted.

How to request a return

To request a return, please email us at:

Please include:

  • your order number
  • your name
  • the item you would like to return
  • the reason for your return

Please wait for return approval before sending your item back to us.

Returns sent without approval may not be accepted.

Return shipping

For change-of-mind returns, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we cannot take responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit when being returned to us.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the item is faulty or we have made an error with your order.

Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will let you know whether your return has been approved.

If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method.

Please allow time for your bank or payment provider to process the refund.

Exchanges

Exchanges may be available depending on stock availability.

If you would like to exchange your item for another size or colour, please contact us at:

If the item you want is unavailable, we may offer a refund or store credit, depending on the situation.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible at:

Please include your order number and clear photos of the issue.

If the item does not meet your rights under New Zealand consumer law, we will work with you to provide an appropriate remedy, which may include a repair, replacement or refund.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Items that cannot be returned for change of mind

For hygiene and safety reasons, we may not accept change-of-mind returns on:

  • socks, if packaging has been opened or the item has been tried on
  • gift cards
  • items marked as final sale
  • items that have been worn, washed, damaged or altered

This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

Sale items and promotions

Items purchased during promotions or with discount codes may be returned in accordance with this policy, unless they are clearly marked as final sale.

Final sale items cannot be returned for change of mind, but you still have rights if the item is faulty or does not meet New Zealand consumer guarantees.
